Travel

Delegates are responsible for their own travel arrangements.

Travel to the UQ St Lucia campus is by CityCat, bus, taxi, or car. Locations of the CityCat terminal, bus stop, taxi ranks, and parking zones are shown on the campus map.

CityCat

The easiest and most relaxing way to travel between the city, Southbank and the university is via the CityCat fast catamaran service (17 minute trip). The CityCat service terminates at the UQ St Lucia campus, and you will have a 5 minute walk to the conference venue. (CityCat timetables)

Buses

The main campus bus stop is at Chancellor's Place near the J. D. Story building.

Taxis

Taxi ranks are located at Chancellor's Place near the J. D. Story building and in University Drive.
Parking
Fees for parking apply from 7am-9pm on week days. The best options are:

1. Pay by the hour (Purple Zone, $1.30 per hour)
   This is the closest parking to conference precinct.
   Coin-operated machines are located in the Oval-4 carpark (entry from Sir William Macgregor Drive near the Aquatic Centre), in the UQ Centre carpark (entry from Union Road), and in the Union carpark (access from upper Union Road). Tickets must be displayed on the dashboard with the details visible from outside the vehicle.
2. Multi-level car parks (pay on exit, $1.30 per hour)
   Two multi-level carparks are located on Sir Fred Schonell Drive. Dispensers at the entry boom gates issue a magnetic stripe ticket on which is recorded the date and time of entry. Payment for the outstanding charge is made at the exit booths when leaving.
